Contactless Payments
Contactless Payments are fast, safe and easy to use. By simply connecting a Contactless Payment reader to one of Commidea’s Chip & PIN solutions, any retailer can begin to accept Contactless Payment transactions.
Contactless Payments utilise nfc technology to enable customers to simply hold up their Contactless enabled credit or debit card against a secure reader for payment to be accepted. In less than a second, payment is taken and the amount is deducted from the customer’s bank account. No cash, no hassle, less time – Simple!

Five Contactless Payment transactions can be completed before a customer must enter their PIN code. This helps to reduce the risk of lost or stolen cards and to prove the card is still with its rightful owner. For ease of use, however, every time a standard Chip & PIN transaction is completed, your cumulative total of Contactless Payments is reset to zero.
In addition, there is also a periodic check where the cardholder is forced to enter their PIN code.
